Reminders

Setting follow-up dates, how notifications are delivered, and snoozing.

A reminder is one follow-up date on one contact. There is no separate task list to maintain: the date lives on the person.

Setting one

From the sidebar on their LinkedIn profile, or from their record in the dashboard. Setting a date replaces whatever that contact had — one active reminder per contact — and clearing the date clears it.

How it reaches you

Your browser notifies you when the date comes due, and clicking the notification opens that person's LinkedIn profile. The extension asks for notification permission the first time you set a reminder rather than on install, so if you dismissed that prompt the reminder is still stored and still listed — nothing pops up until you allow notifications for the extension.

Delivery needs your browser to be running. RolodexIn sends no email.

The Reminders section

Overdue above, upcoming below, each row one click from a seven-day snooze.

The dashboard's Reminders section lists every contact with an active reminder, split into overdue and upcoming and sorted by due date. Each row shows the name, the reminder label, the date, and a one-click snooze 7 days — which counts seven days from whichever is later, today or the date that was already set, so snoozing something long overdue does not put it in the past.

What counts as active

A reminder that is set and not cleared, including an overdue one. Overdue reminders are not excluded from your plan's cap: if they were, ten ignored reminders could sit at the limit while an eleventh was still allowed, which is the opposite of what the limit is for.

The free plan holds 10 active reminders; paid plans are unlimited. Replacing or rescheduling a reminder you already have is never limited — only adding one past the cap.
