The sidebar did not appear on a profile
Three things to check, in order. The sidebar runs on LinkedIn profile pages only — on other LinkedIn pages it either shows the capture list or nothing at all. If you collapsed it earlier, reopen it from the RolodexIn button in your browser toolbar, which carries an Open sidebar row whenever the tab it is looking at has one closed. And if the tab was already open before you installed or updated the extension, reload it: a content script cannot attach itself to a page that was loaded without it.
A reminder came due and nothing notified me
Reminders are delivered as browser notifications, and your browser asks permission the first time you set one rather than on install — if that prompt was dismissed, the reminder is still stored and still shows in the dashboard, but nothing pops up. Re-allow notifications for the extension in your browser's settings. Notifications also need the browser to be running; RolodexIn sends no email.
An edit I made on LinkedIn has not reached the dashboard
Edits are written to the extension's local cache first and sent afterwards, so they survive a dead connection. While something is waiting, the toolbar icon carries a badge with the count. If you are signed out the queue is held rather than retried, and it flushes by itself the moment you sign in. If the badge is red, several attempts failed — reload the LinkedIn tab and check you are signed in from the popup.
Some contacts show initials instead of a photo
That is the normal fallback, not an error. RolodexIn never copies anyone's photo: it stores the signed image URL LinkedIn itself served, and those expire. When one does, the initials disc takes over until a fresh URL turns up — which happens the next time you open that person's profile, or the next time they appear in a capture list. Contacts saved before RolodexIn stored photos at all fill in the same way.
My captures stopped saving
Most likely the plan is full. Every contact row counts against the limit, including the ones RolodexIn creates just by your visiting a profile — so a free account can reach 50 by browsing without ever meaning to save anyone. The capture list says so once above the list, and the sidebar says so in a bar at the top. Nothing is lost, and deleting contacts frees the slots immediately. What the numbers count.
I signed in on the dashboard and the extension is still signed out
Signing into one is meant to sign you into the other, but the handoff is best-effort: it cannot run if the extension is not installed, and it can miss if the dashboard tab was opened first. Open the RolodexIn button in the toolbar and sign in there — it is the same account and the same database either way.
