Contacts and saved views

Search, filter and sort the table, keep a combination as a view, and work a single record.

The Contacts section is the whole database as one table: photo, name and headline, company, relationship status, tags, the latest note, the reminder due date, and the date added. Fifty rows a page.

The contacts table, with the saved-view chips above a filter bar, and columns for status, tags, latest note and reminder
The saved-view chips sit above the filter bar; the bar below stays live while a view is open.

One box, searching across names, headlines, companies, reminder labels and the full text of your notes. It waits a moment after you stop typing rather than refetching per keystroke.

Filters and sorting

  • Tag — any tag you have used.
  • Relationship status — the same six values the sidebar sets.
  • Reminder state — overdue, upcoming, or none.
  • Sort — date added, last updated, reminder due date, or name, with a direction toggle beside it. Picking a column starts it on that column's natural direction; the toggle then belongs to you.

Saved views

A saved view is a named combination of all of the above — the search text, the three filters, the sort column and its direction — kept as a chip above the filter bar.

  • Nothing auto-saves. Changing a filter while a view is active marks the chip and offers Update view, Save as new and Revert. A view you check every morning will not rewrite itself because you narrowed it once to answer a question.
  • Opening a view is exactly the same as setting those filters by hand. The filter bar stays live underneath, not disabled.
  • All contacts is the first chip and is the cleared state made visible. It lights up only when no view is active and the filters are at their defaults, so it never claims to show everything over a narrowed list.
  • Leaving a view clears its filters too. Going to another section and coming back lands on the plain list. Filters you set without a view are ad-hoc and survive that round trip as they always did.
  • A view has its own link, so a morning routine can be a bookmark.
  • Managing one is a menu on the active chip: rename, update to the current filters, move left or right, close, delete. Close leaves a view; delete destroys it.

The rail renders nothing at all until there is a filter combination worth keeping. The free plan keeps 3; paid plans are unlimited. Editing and reordering the views you have is never limited — only creating a new one past the cap.

A single contact's record

Clicking a row opens the full record: every note in order, the tags, the status, the reminder, the campaigns the person is in, and a link back to their LinkedIn profile.

Notes can be added, edited and deleted here. Editing one keeps the original text — the entry gains an edited marker, and the original is still there behind it.

The contact cap

At your plan's contact limit a notice sits above the filter bar — "50 of 50 contacts — the free plan is full." It is here rather than on a button because nothing on this screen creates a contact: the extension does. It is the answer to "why did my captures stop sticking?".

Note and reminder limits behave differently, because there is a control to replace: on a record at the per-contact note cap, the note composer itself is replaced by the notice, and the same happens to + Set reminder at the account's reminder cap. Editing and deleting stay open throughout — a limit stops you adding, never stops you tidying up, and deleting is how you get back under one.
